Job Description

Acadia Landscape Company is a landscape and hardscape company that serves the local Knoxville area and surrounding counties. We are looking to hire an additional full-time Landscape Designer or Landscape Architect to bring our customers the best craftsmanship and unique design to transform their outdoor space. We have been in business for over 20 in Knoxville years performing work on residential and commercial landscape construction projects such as large and small scale patios, fire places and fire pits, pool patios, outdoor kitchens, overhead structures, and water features.

We work directly with clients to improve the aesthetics of their landscape through planting design and installation utilizing a wide range of materials from manufactured pavers to natural stone. It is work that we take great pride in, and we are committed to applying our knowledge and expertise to each project. We are open to innovative ideas in the landscape and welcome new insight.

Candidates without sufficient hardscape and landscape design and management education and/or experience will not be considered for this position. This role requires project technical support as well as on-site job leadership and management though collaboration with project managers to assure a competent workforce which provides the customer with professional, quality craftsmanship and inspired design.

Responsibilities:

  • Landscape Design (AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, Excel, experience preferred) to create innovative digital designs and/or scaled hand drawings including applicable plant material recommendations.
  • Produce layout blueprints, architectural and structural drawings as well as specifications, proposals, other related documents.
  • Accurate assessment of scope of customer project including construction development and project estimate - Quickbooks familiarity ideal
  • Manage crews with project managers to ensure proper build and progress of projects. Motivate crews to perform billable work to maintain job budget.
  • With assistance or project and production managers, coordinate materials, directions, tools, and logistical support to assure maximum productivity.
  • Promptly complete all paperwork. Keep management informed of positives, unfavorable news, and customer concerns.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of landscape and hardscape standards, materials, and install concepts. When given a problem, the designer knows what to do, why, and how to communicate a solution to the crew.
  • Report work progress regarding field performance, material, scheduling, and other obstacles for an efficient and timely completion.
  • With Project managers, serve as point of contact for clients as needed over the course of each project to maintain routine correspondence and manage client expectations.
  • Build rapport and productive working relationships with clients, managers, crew leaders and members. Shares insights to influence and improve purchasing, scheduling, installations, and project completion.
  • Promptly address customer complaints to assure resolution and maintain long-term relationships while providing detailed updates to the team and staff.
  • Provides support for any special project as assigned by the manager.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
