Senior Site Reliability Engineer - 2289298 EMPLOYER: Optum Services, Inc. JOB TITLE: Senior Site Reliability Engineer LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.) DUTIES: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Responsible for stability, scalability, capacity, and performance of customer facing, mission-critical platforms. Participate in development lifecycle: ideation, development, deployment, operationalization, and enhancement. Guide new platforms and functionality through development process, serving as design and architecture advisor and providing software and underlying platform support, capacity planning, cost analysis, and operationalization. Assume operational leadership for new platforms and functionality prior to General Release. Monitor for availability, functionality, capacity, performance; problem identification and resolution, and change and release. Drive scale. Deliver and enhance automation. Drive down toil and operational work. Press for change to enhance stability. Responsible for incident response, blamelss root cause analysis processes, and drive positive outcomes. Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S. REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field and two (2) years experience in the job offered or a related computer occupation. Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following: - Software development, scripting languages, and workflow tools including Powershell, Java, Python and Camunda; - Cloud, infrastructure, deployment, and database tools including Azure, Terraform, ArgoCD, Postgres, Snowflake, and MongoDB; - Tiered applications, middleware, database systems, and supporting components virtual and cloud; - Software development, systems automation, and scripting or network design; - Optimizing platform architectures; and - Automate routine tasks, debug, and optimize scripts or code.
